Silva è stato investito da un’auto, una Renault Twingo che è sbucata da una strada laterale al passaggio dei ciclisti amatori. La vettura era guidata da una ragazza di vent’anni. Nello schianto il manager ha riportato traumi al torace, agli arti e alla testa e le sue condizioni sono parse subito disperate. L’incidente è avvenuto dopo una galleria nel Comune di Stazzema mentre i ciclisti stavano affrontando la discesa del Cipollaio. I soccorsi sono stati rapidi, sul posto è subito arrivata un’ambulanza del 118 e poi l’elisoccorso. Adesso la procura aprirà un’inchiesta per stabilire la dinamica dell’incidente e verificare che i cartelli stradali con le deviazioni dei percorsi per via del passaggio della Granfondo fossero stati messi correttamente.
